Time magazine released its latest edition on Friday, declaring "China won" on its cover in both English and Chinese.
The story's author, Ian Bremmer, promoted the cover to his 333,000 followers while taking a jab at President Trump.
"Yes,
Trump has more @TIME covers (even a fake one!). But here's one the
President can't claim: the 1st ever TIME cover in two languages.

The
remark is in reference to Trump's framed copy of a fake Time magazine
cover featuring him that was hung in five of his golf clubs, including
one in Scotland.
"Donald Trump:
The ‘Apprentice’ is a television smash!” the main headline said. It
also read above the Time nameplate another headline: “TRUMP IS HITTING
ON ALL FRONTS . . . EVEN TV!"
Time's latest cover story,
titled "How China’s Economy Is Poised to Win the Future," comes as
Trump embarks on a more than weeklong trip to Asia that includes stops
in China, South Korea, Vietnam, the Philippines and Japan.
Bremmer concludes in the article that China is better positioned to lead the global economy.
"If
you had to bet on one country that is best positioned today to extend
its influence with partners and rivals alike, you wouldn’t be wise to
back the U.S. The smart money would probably be on China," he writes.
Trump has often touted his close relationship with Chinese President Xi Jinping.
"I’ve
become very, very close to President Xi of China," Trump told Fox's
Laura Ingraham in an interview that aired Thursday night.
"I
think a lot of good things are going to happen. I think it’s a very
important trip. I think this is one of the more important trips that a
president has made."
