Why? Because at that time a monarch often thought the whole world revolved around him or her. Other people's needs only existed in order to satisfy the monarch's needs and wants. After all, they were sent by God to rule over all these idiots anyway.
So, if you study the madness of King George III of England and how his madness actually created the United States of America in the first place then the freedoms and rights of people in the U.S. would be offensive possibly to a reincarnation of King George III. In this context if Trump is actually a reincarnation of King George III of England then his base are reincarnations of the loyalists who wanted the U.S. to stay a part of England and to be subject to English Rules then too.
