Made it to San Diego County from SF Bay Area

It seems strange to be down here once again for awhile because I lived here from 1969 to 1976 mostly during that time. I also spent some time in Mt. Shasta and in Hilo, Hawaii around 1974 when my son was first born then before we moved up to Mt. Shasta more permanently in 1976 then (my new wife and baby son then).

So, going to college at Palomar College (which actually was my favorite college experience for 2 years) between 1971 and 1973 was great too. I also remember buying my 1974 Honda 250XL which was a dualsport motorcycle in 1975. I kept that motorcycle and kept it running until  my stepson traded it for a sound system in his room in 1989. So, I rode all over this area in San Diego Country wherever there were dirt roads at that time which was most places unlike now.

We are down here visiting one of our daughters and her husband fro the month of December. Our other two daughters are also flying down from Oregon for 2 weeks of this too which is great.

Since my wife had already driven over to Bakersfield to help a friend on Thursday and back on Friday about 4 to 5 hours driving each way, driving 4 hours to Santa Barbara and then 4 hours south to San Diego County was easy for me but more difficult for my wife for a total of 4 days driving over 4 hours since we brought two vehicles south since my daughters  are flying they won't have their own cars here in this area.

The Cirrus clouds (ice crystals) you often see around snow storms before they happen made the sun really bright the last two days from a rainstorm and Snowstorm (snow at higher altitudes). So, I was really glad to have a good pair of sunglasses driving south.
