Democrats are going to have a problem with being the cause of a government shutdown

Why?

Because unlike Republicans who are just fine if everyone poor on earth died tomorrow, the Democrats are not like this. And government services to the poor and children might also shut down if the government shuts down.

And another thing: I actually remember when the government actually kept shutting down in 1995 in December because of a fight between Speaker of the House Gingrich and President Bill Clinton. At that time all the National parks kept shutting down and then opening up sporadically. This actually allowed my wife and I to get married in Yosemite within 2 weeks time because everything there had been cancelled the week before because no one knew when the government was going to open up the National parks again. So, we were able to get married in December in Yosemite National Park and have a reception at the Awahnee Hotel there because of all the craziness. However, then we went to Hawaii on our honeymoon and couldn't get into Volcanoes National park on the big island of hawaii because all the national parks shut down once again.

So, the shutdowns ongoing of government helped us get married in Yosemite but prevented us from going to Volcanoes National park on the big Island of Hawaii at that time. However, we also spent time on Oahu and Kauai during our honeymoon too so this was just one day of a fly and drive from Oahu to Hawaii when this happened.

So, what I'm saying here is that Democrats are going to have a hard time in shutting down the government because they are not cruel to poor people like the Republicans are. And if the government shuts down, things like medical care and food programs might shut down too and hundreds of thousands to millions of Government employees will be sent home for up to a month or more without pay.

So, it is going to be interesting (at the very least) to see how all this turns out.
