"Give the President and Republicans enough rope and they'll hang themselves with it"

This is how I perceive what people call a Republican victory over DACA by re-opening the government.

At this point no matter how the Republicans handle DACA they lose!

If they deport the 700,000 to 800,000 DACA kids they will lose as those kids once deported kill themselves with no money and no place to live and not even a way to make a living in a place they have never been before as young adults or even as adults.

If they give into the Democrats and allow them to stay their base is going to call them "Weak".

So, no matter which way this is handled now they lose the elections in 2018 because 80% to 90% of the American people want the DACA kids to stay.

So, if they deport them Republicans are just going to be seen as murderers of young people educated in the U.S. from childhood on.
