At least CHIPS was resolved for another 6 years but DACA hasn't been resolved at all "UNLESS" Trump trades the wall for the DACA 800,000 who want to stay here in the U.S. and work.
So, likely people like Steven Miller are the biggest obstacle to resolution in the White House who doesn't believe in immigration at all. Whereas the American People (80% to 90% of them) want the DACA dreamers to stay here in the U.S.
However, since Trump's Dad was KKK so he was brainwashed that way growing up, if he listens to Miller, likely neither the Wall nor DACA is going to happen in 17 or in any amount of days.
if Trump listens to Steven Miller his wall is never going to get built either.
However, for now the biggest problem I foresee is the House of Representatives. The House is so lopsided in favor of Republicans that they don't have to promise ANYTHING to democrats at all.
So, no matter how good what happens in the Senate, nothing the Senate passes might pass the House and so it wouldn't ever get to the president.
However, maybe after a month or two of closing the government the House Republicans might pass DACA to open the government once again.
Otherwise, 800,000 kids who don't remember living in any other country will be sent somewhere they have never been before since they were younger than 6 to 12 years of age.
And most of the country 90% or more is going to be very very angry at Republicans who did this like Trump. So, if Trump and the Republicans do this they likely lose big in 2018 elections.
To the best of my ability I write about my experience of the Universe Past, Present and Future
