From the beginning this was always my point of view. Was I successful in getting my daughters to agree with me? No. They still use it. Is this good? No. But, one or both of my ex-wives are still using it too. So, I'm not having very good luck with the women in my life in convincing them of the dangers of Facebook. My wife doesn't go there because she has listened to me so at least I was successful there.
What is the argument I get from my daughters?
Dad. There is no privacy anywhere anywhen anymore.
It doesn't exist.
However, in the 1950s everyone had privacy but Hollywood actors and presidents.
Why should all of us have to give up all our privacy now?
Who made that rule?
Who has the right to steal all our privacy without asking us?
In the 1950s if someone tried to take away your privacy you would find them often buried in someone's back yard 20 to 30 years later.
This was how people guarded their privacy in the 1950s and before.
Was this right?
No. But it was the way things were then.
Is what is happening better?
NO. It's 1984 with Big Brother hounding all of us in any way criminals and Big Brother of the book
"1984" can.
In other words we are ALL being harmed every day in ways mostly we are not aware of by Governments and criminals around the world who have access to varying degrees of information about our lives. This is true of all 7 or 8 billion of us by the way. There is no one who isn't known in this way in some way or in some form.
To the best of my ability I write about my experience of the Universe Past, Present and Future
