Because they will know something is wrong with what you are saying. They might not at first put their finger directly on it but they will know something is wrong. Intuitives don't approach reality in the same way most people do. Information comes to them differently directly from cell to cell communication. This in some ways can take longer to ferret out this information but in the long run it's pretty infallible in the end.
So, you cannot really lie to an intuitive and get away with it for very long. You will begin to see them draw back a little when they first realize something isn't right. Then over time they will track down the lie or lies they are being told and then you might be in for it.
