"There are no atheists in Foxholes"

Funny thing about war time situations like the one we are all in worldwide now, "There are no atheists in Foxholes!"

It reminds me of thinking at age 9 and 10 that all religious people were crazy back in 1957 and 1958 and then I started having blunt trauma childhood epilepsy seizures. However, at the time neither my parents or I had any idea of what was happening to me. In fact, the first seizure I had my mother witnessed and I woke up with my head in her arms on the floor next to my bed and she said, "You had a nightmare, Freddie and you should just go back to sleep again". And so I did and had no idea that I had had a seizure because she didn't tell me and I had no history at age 10 yet.

But, at the time I was uneasy at what had happened in my nightmare (which was the seizure).

Over the next 5 years time I finally realized that if I didn't invite God into my life that I was going to die. My worst seizure was when I was around 14 years of age in the middle of the night (like all the others). So, these seizures resembled nightmares in this sense.

I realized while asleep I was going to have a seizure and I jumped out of bed while asleep and ran for my parents room. Unfortunately, the door to the hallway to their room was ajar and hit me squarely on my nose on the end which broke my nose and knocked me unconscious and I had my seizure unconscious completely. So, I woke up with blood everywhere from my broken nose surrounding my head, traumatized completely. And when you wake up from a seizure you are very weak and if I had been in my 30s or 40s having a seizure like this I would have died from either a heart attack or a stroke likely because this sort of thing is really hard on your body to endure at all. But, I was still young and healthy enough to survive something like this.

My father said to me, "Freddie! You've got to get some religion under your belt, son, or you are going to surely die!". He was close to hysterical as I ever saw him that moment because I was really a mess on all levels all bloody and confused from getting knocked out AND having a seizure.

So, I began to go to church about 4 days a week because I knew if didn't I was going to die.

What people are dealing with now is not that different than what I experienced between ages 10 to 15 years of age when I finally invoked God through prayers to come into my body and live with me in my body here on earth.

And He DID!

By God's Grace
