Coming from a Swiss American Family with roots to the old country since they came over in 1725 from Switzerland through Germany and England on a ship to Philadelphia up the Philadelphia River then, I was taught always EFFICIENCY. And with that "Achieving maximum results with the minimum effort. And I was also taught Predictability: a desire to predict what will happen in the future.
And By God's Grace this worked for me here in America.
But, as we all know there is more to life than just efficiency in life.
But, as a major proponent of efficiency every day of my life here's the real problem with efficiency:
At a certain point you become just so very very efficient there is nothing left at all to do ever again.
So, at that point you need some hobbies to have something to do.
If you are a workaholic like my father and some of my friends you run your businesses until you die if you can. But, if you are into efficiency like me your business becomes like a thing where you are only called when there is an emergency so it is sort of like being a Fireman or Fire Captain. And as you make things even more efficient you are going to be called less and less because through your efficiency you solved all your problems long term already.
But, efficiency allows you to have time to think deep thoughts like I try to here at this site. So, I guess what I'm saying is the ways in which you can be efficient are literally never ending.
By God's Grace
