Wearing a mask in Asia is a part of the culture of taking care of others and being responsible

Whereas wearing a mask in the U.S. is a culture of Bank robbers and thieves and murderers which is why it is hard for people to wear a mask often, especially minorities don't want to wear a mask because they don't want to be mistaken for a criminal and by shot or hung by someone like the KKK in the south.

So, wearing a mask is a problem for many people because of this. I'm thinking over time masks will be clear so you can see through them who is wearing these masks more here in the U.S. and Europe where wearing a mask is the mark of a criminal more than in Asia where it is about being an adult who feels responsibility to protect others in their cultures more.
