What it's like being gifted in a time of coronavirus

From my present point of view about 1/2 of the people I see around are often in denial about coronavirus, especially way out in the country like Mt. Shasta. They other 1/2 wear masks and tend to be more conscientious at surviving this thing.

I think the main point of view regarding not wearing masks goes something like this: "I have never personally seen anyone get coronavirus or known of anyone to get coronavirus therefore it is not real. It's a hoax.

And it will kind of be like that until someone gets it or dies in their family or group of friends out in the country. It's really like that now which I find pretty surrealistic.

Being around people in denial is not surprising in some ways here in the U.S. because we haven't had many really serious things happen inside our country since maybe the Civil War.

Is it useful to be in denial? It might be useful to the economy of the U.S. to have so many people in denial. However, it will be horrific for these people in denial when their relatives and friends start dying and they might realize they are responsible for those deaths. However, they might not take responsibility and in typical denial fashion say something like: "They died of a Flu not coronavirus".

Which also might be true when people start dying of a combination of the flu and coronavirus starting next month in various states.

So, for me, being gifted it's sort of like seeing people in various kinds of crazy and disarray. There are the people who never wear masks and act as if it's all not true and then there are the people who haven't left home for 6 months and have their food delivered (of all kinds) direct to their door and never leave home. And then there is everyone in between.

So, an interesting question might be: "What kind of Crazy are each of us suffering during the Coronavirus from the Coronavirus PTSD that literally all people have now who are responsible adults.
