Sensory Deprivation is affecting most people now worldwide from "Covid Isolation" in both good and bad ways

First, how is Covid isolation harming people. Many people cannot deal with any changes to their normal routines at all and these people likely might be the most harmed in the short and long run from "Covid isolation".

But, if you are more of a contemplative person like I am you might see this isolation as a spiritual or religious retreat where you can develop your intuitive skills and instincts to better help yourself and others in the present and future.

But, in order for "Covid Isolation" to protect yourselves from getting coronavirus to benefit you, you have to have a different attitude than "everything being like it was in 1950 or even in 2019" which it NEVER will be ever again.

Accepting that the past is completely gone for me was easier when I learned that cruise ships were being cut up for scrap. Another clue was 1/10 of the planes in the sky as before transporting passengers to and fro above my outdoor Hot Tub Spa. My wife and I try to get in there around sunset every day we are here because it can be very healing to do this and break up the day some into more segments that you can actually deal with.

So, seeing this pandemic as a spiritual or even religious retreat for you to grow as a son or Daughter of God or whatever you believe in might be helpful in helping yourselves, your friends and your families during and after all this Covid Business whether that ends this summer or 2 summers from now or never.

How can the sensory deprivation help you grow as a person?

In Tibetan Buddhism they will lock people away (by choice) in the dark to start with for 4 months time. This is an extreme form of sensory deprivation and helpful in developing spiritually. I personally have never done this but then I wasn't raised in an Asian or Tibetan Culture. However, I have met Lam Rim Geshe who has spent 17 years of his life in retreat like this. He was one of the most amazing people I have ever met and Yoda was built upon his stature and even looks even though he is actually around 6 feet tall which is tall even for a Tibetan. I'm 6 feet 5 inches tall so I was impressed with him too. Where he lives reminded me of Yoda's house on Dagoba by the way too. I heard that Jim Henson's puppeteers spent time with him in Dharamshala, India when he came out of his retreat before they built Yoda the first time. I met him when he had come out of a long retreat to go to the Kalachakra Tantra given by the Dalai Lama in Bodhgaya, India. I met him after this when I traveled with my family about a month later to Dharamshala, India by train and bus where the Dalai Lama lives (then with about 10,000 Tibetan Refugees) but not it likely is many more of them living near the Dalai Lama there along with many Tibetan Lamas and Monks both male and female.

So, sensory deprivation is used around the world to develop spiritually.

Even when I did a 4 day no water and no food vision quest fast here in the U.S. under the tutelage of a Blackfoot Sioux Medicine man on the South Fork of the Trinity River in 1983 I experienced the sensory deprivation which is extreme during those 4 days where you have visions that God brings you because you are praying for what you should do next in life to help God and Life here on earth and Beyond.

By God's Grace
