wind and Rain a lot yesterday and still drizzling today

The rain was light and the wind was most of the day yesterday. There is still a very slight breeze today but yesterday some of our deck chairs were blown over so we had moved them away from sliding doors and windows beforehand so they wouldn't be blown into glass. Today everything is very wet. In the Santa Cruz mountains they are very worried this summer because they don't want what happened in Montecito in Santa Barbara a couple of years ago to the Santa Cruz Mountains above Santa Cruz and the ocean. The problem is there will be mud flows during heavy rains this year because of all the fires in the spring and summer and fall. There hasn't been enough time for grass and bushes and stuff to grow back to hold back rock and mud from shooting down mountains and into valleys where people's homes often are. So, unless people evacuate during big rain storms this year we could see a lot of people buried in mud in the middle of the night like what happened in Montecito a few years ago when at least 25 people died one  night in mud and rock flows in the middle of the night as their homes were filled with mud and debris.

The rain wasn't heavy enough to do this this time but people are very worried right now about this later this rainy season.
