Why?
Because of his illness he couldn't really participate in the peace talks after World War I because he was hallucinating from his flu fever. He didn't die of the Spanish flu but his health was never the same and he died in the 1920s from complications caused by the Spanish Flu.
So, NONE of Woodrow Wilson's Peace plans were implemented as a result and because of the revenge motives against Germany by all European powers it eventually caused Hitler to come to power and then we had to deal with World War II as a direct result of the revenge taken economically upon Germany which led to needing a wheelbarrow of money to even buy a loaf of bread in Germany when Hitler came to power in that awful depression vacuum.
