This is on Disney Plus and I think it is an interesting premise. I've watched most of the first episode and it appears to be about "Children who value or worship the truth". I was always one of these children and it always served me well throughout my life.
So, this might be a good thing to let your children watch if you are interested in their future.
When I was young I watched children self destruct a lot around me because people didn't give them the right kind of attention so they became silly and dangerous to their own survival.
This was just how a lot of people and children were in the 1950s and often people like this were dead as children or before 20 or 30 years old.
All I need to tell you is that people didn't wear helmets for riding bicycles or motorcycles or seat belts in cars in the 1950s. And even in passenger planes then there were only lap belts.
So, when accidents happened people went all over the place for hundreds of feet in car and truck and bus accidents and many people died then in the 1950s until around I think it was 1987 when they first required seat belts state by state. Helmet laws for motorcycles were similar to seat belt laws as well. However, many more people always wore helmets because they had already seen so many people die on motorcycles then.
The point is "The mysterious Benedict society" encourages valuing or even worshipping the truth regarding all things which is useful if you want to live to be 20 or 30 or more here on earth.
