Also, if you are heading south on 101 it is possible to take 154 near Los Olivos south to Santa Barbara but be prepared for a much longer drive through mountainous terrain at times even though it often is quite pretty on this drive.
Be sure to check where the fire is so this road doesn't get closed too.
