Compassion for oneself and others during Omicron and Delta

If you already read the last two articles I wrote which are called "I got to thinking" and "I got to thinking even  More" then you understand the basis of what I'm writing about now.

None of us want to be a murderer of people we know and meet every day. One of the best ways not to be a murderer by Covid of those we know and love and associate with every day is to get vaccinated or if it has been more than 6 months get a booster too (because people who don't get a booster by 6 months often are susceptible to Delta and Omicron in some form whether they ever go to the hospital or not.

Not going places especially indoors when you don't need to for work or school or food is helpful in not carrying a virus to other people you associate with in your lives now.

Walking on the beach at a distance from other people is fine.

Riding a bicycle is fine.

Skiing if you don't go inside somewhere without a mask might be fine (or not) it's hard to say.

I like to ski myself by the way, but at 73 it's not just physically risky as in skiing anymore there are many more factors to consider, especially because of Omicron.

So, from what I'm studying now, in it's own way Omicron is more potentially damaging to societies and civilizations on earth than anything we have seen so far.

Why?

Imagine every person who helps you get food or works at a grocery store sick at the same time and carrying omicron.

This is what we might be looking at within a month right here in the U.S.

We need to be studying very carefully what is happening in the UK and Germany for example because we will be just where they are within a month.

Have enough compassion for yourselves to stay alive through this. Have enough compassion for others not to spread the Omicron or Delta to them too.

By God's Grace
