So, people who are going to live in tornado prone areas need shelters to get to underground and warning sirens and people notifying them so they can survive these kinds of things in real time.
Unless your home is made of cement and metal (and even then expect windows to be blown out unless they are bullet proof and sometimes even then they will blow out) Unless your homes are made of metal they are going to be blown away in tornadoes ongoing. It really doesn't matter how nice or how strong a house or building is built eventually it's going to be blown away by a big enough tornado.
So, if you live where tornadoes can happen just expect that one day your wooden home is going to be gone. If you have good insurance it's true it might be replaced but eventually insurance companies aren't going to insure wooden homes or wooden barns at all. I think this is coming this century where if you own a wooden home in a tornado area you won't be able to insure it at all for tornado damage at least. You might still get fire insurance and flood insurance and even earthquake insurance but you won't be able to get any longer tornado insurance at some point this century.
It's the same in California with fires. Most people I know in Mt. Shasta for example, couldn't get private fire insurance and Only could get fire insurance through the State of California. And even then many had to wait 1, 2, 3 years or more until the state would even sell fire insurance to them as fires came nearer and nearer each year. A good friend's son's house burned down in Talent, Oregon between Medford and Ashland summer before last which the insurance has rebuilt now which is good. But, everyone lost all their possessions who lived in that house too. For example, my friend's son ONLY had the clothes on his back and a jacket and that's all to his name clothes wise that weren't burned up.
Yes. I think Tornado Alley one day might be uninhabitable completely for anyone with a wooden home or mobile home that isn't made of metal and cement with an escape cellar underground made of cement with a metal door. Otherwise, many of those people won't live very long under these present conditions during the rest of this century and the next.
