We were hiking not to far from the Earthquake yesterday

My daughter must have stepped on a piece of land where she could feel this earthquake but I didn't feel it because often if a quake is below about a 4.0 to a 5.0 you might not feel it unless you are in the right place or in a multi-story building where the building will wobble or shake more. But, you don't want to be in a brick building that is older because cracks could appear in the brickwork even at a 3.4 earthquake. But, these days mostly those buildings have been retrofitted or have already fallen down in previous earthquakes and they might have been built before the 1950s to be able to come down like that. Now rebar is required in most brick or cement block buildings to reinforce them during earthquakes when they are built here in California.
