To be realistic rather than to be political is my goal here:
What appears to be coming is a form of economic warfare worldwide between the Haves and the have nots.
Basically, the have nots lose this war this century and mostly either die or their descendents will be pretty mad about what happened to their relatives. So, this could create many many different kinds of terrorists of the children of the have nots that survive all this by one means or another.
So, what I presently see is about 50% of the people might be gone from starvation or weather by 2050 here on earth.
The ones who will make it through will have "dug in" mostly.
What do I mean "Dug in" . I mean that the winds could be so bad by then that large buildings after all the windows are blown out of them might even blow down from the force of the winds worldwide.
So, the only way on the plains or wherever it is flat would be to dig underground where your windows don't all blow out in the over 100 to 200 mph winds that will come naturally from global warming.
So, surviving is not just moving from place to place but actually in some flat places digging underground to survive the winds too.
But, this doesn't work in flood plains by the way. So, in hills and mountains might be the best place to go underground where you are out of a flood plain.
So, it's very likely we will be about 4 billion less people on earth by 2050. whether anyone takes a census or not this is likely to happen by then.
Later: I thought better of what I was writing. It's not so much a war between the Haves and have nots it's more about the haves being panicked themselves to the point where they feel they have to let the have nots die so they and their families can survive what is coming for us all.
But, any children of the have nots might take this personally and become terrorists in the future to the haves.
This is a better way to express what I see coming inevitably now for the whole world.
