Alien movies always seem to depict Aliens as Cruel and Stupid and Barbarians. However, if you were organized enough to get here from the other side of the Galaxy would any of these descriptions really fit your species?
Think about the level of organization it took here in the U.S. to be able to be first on the moon.
I was about 13 when Alan Shepard went into space by the way. He was the first Human astronaut to go into space ever from the U.S. (that we know of) at least.
It took the Magna Carta in England, the Declaration of Independence in the U.S., The REvolutionary war, The Civil War, the First world War, and the 2nd World War and then the Cold War before Kennedy was able to say "We need to go into space".
Then the miracle was that we actually did this and landed on the moon in the summer of 1969 when I was 21.
Now, imagine a species on the other side of the galaxy and how much more it would take to get here from there. If you really believe they are barbarians only you just have to see how very very very unlikely this is.
Now imagine someone from the U.S. if we continue to have a democracy at all under Trump, 1000 or 2000 years from now colonizing the other side of this Galaxy.
But, that's ONLY if Trump doesn't destroy the last 200 plus years since 1776 and all our people that died trying to make this great country.
