There are rain clouds from San Francisco all the way north to Vancouver, Canada and Beyond

It's supposed to start raining here between around 3 and 6 am on Tuesday December 24th Christmas Eve. My daughter was watching how the trails along the beaches here are starting to wash away just like they did the last two winters. The rising seas are taking away more sand and rocks and bluffs all the time now every winter. The Boardwalks along the coast over sandy areas have all been destroyed where we live now and people are not repairing them these last two years because they will all just wash away again because the sea levels are rising. Even cement stairs built down to the sand from roads aren't working because too much sand goes out for most of the year now (at least during the winters) and doesn't come up high enough not to have to jump down 4 to 5 feet from the last step some places. I went to a local state park on the beach and watched 15 foot waves crashing close to shore today with my daughter. the Wharf at Santa Cruz, California lost 150 feet of the end of the wharf today because of the large waves beating against the pilings too. I was watching a video of two of the workers standing on what was left of the now floating wharf with a (now lost) loader machine floating on the end of the wharf next to a man. And the restaurant wound up at the mouth of the San Lorenzo River eventually too. So, things along the coast are changing a lot as the seas rise and the waves seem to get bigger and fiercer every year now. So, people are having to be realistic as more of the sandstone and trails and boardwalks are washed away every year during the increasingly severe winter storms because of Global Climate changes and higher sea levels.
