I don't think I'm alone in this. Many of us including most of my friends in Mt. Shasta grew up in Los Angeles County like I did and this is hard for them too to lose so much of their childhood homes.
Also, though I knew when I saw my old friend in Mt. Shasta last in September I knew it would be the last time I saw him alive. However, despite this, losing a friend of 50 years is no easy thing because of all the memories you share with someone like that who is now gone.
So, like many of you I'm trying to deal with losing the Los Angeles landscape I once knew and wondering what the future will bring and also dealing with a good friend who is gone too all in the same week.
However, I have to look at this differently I think because of 2008 when first my aunt passed away then my wife's father passed away then my mother passed away and then one of my female cousins passed away all in the same year.
So, compared to that year this year is relatively easy in comparison.
God Bless Everyone here in California and around the world!
May they all find a way to survive these changes in their lives!
