I normally don't watch the Grammys. But, this year I did and it gave me hope

Between the fires in Los Angeles County and all the long term or short term damage Trump has already done to the whole world I was having trouble having hope for a better future for all of us.

But, somehow watching the Grammys this year gave me hope. I was very surprised at the hope I felt watching these young amazing artists in the face of the world we now appear to be living in. 

The plane crashes (more than one large passenger jet) auguring in has been difficult to watch. One wonders at this point whether conscious sabotage of planes and helicopters is taking place with all this at once.

But, somehow, watching these young artists and some veteran musicians and singers gave me hope for a brighter tomorrow. 

And Hope is what we all need now to help us move forward through all the changes.

I felt this way in 1962 when the Cuban Missile Crisis occurred and the rich young woman was shaking and believing we all were going to be nuked or when a year later or so President Kennedy was assassinated or not long after that Martin Luther King J. and Bobby Kennedy were also assassinated and no one trusted anything our government said after that. Even now.

Then there was 9-11 when my wife woke me up and said that something strange is going on and how a plane had crashed into a New York building and it was on TV. I thought it was a small plane that hit a big building in New York but just as I was telling her that this wasn't a small plane that hit this building another large passenger jet hit the twin tower next to it and we were all horrified as we began to realize it was a terrorist act where people were using passenger planes with passengers in them as missiles in a suicide bombing while the world watched horrified.

Now the horror is the fires and what Trump is doing to the whole world starting likely World War III with a Trade War with Canada, Mexico and China. There is no direct logic to this by the way unless it is bait and switch like a magician trying to make us all look at one thing while actually doing another.

But, somehow, the Grammys Gave me hope when nothing else recently has in the same way.
