We are expecting on the SF Coast Winds of 25 to 30 mph constant with Gusts up to 50 mph. This is enough to bring large trees down

We are supposed to get 25 go 30 mph constant with gusts up to 50 mph by morning so I put all the outdoor chairs down below our deck so they don't blow through windows or sliding glass doors already. When I put away the chairs below the deck the winds were already at 11 mph and gaining strength with gusts up to 20 to 30 mph close to midnight Monday night.

Hopefully the ground isn't too  saturated from mostly drizzle since last Friday or so so the winds don't blow many large trees down. A 100 foot tree came into our yard about a week before Christmas and broke our fence from next door and luckily only broke our railing to our hot tub and deck and broke our fence and no one was hurt. Everything but the railing to our hot tub has been replaced. I put 2 by 4s up as temporary rails to prevent anyone from falling about 4 feet onto the ground from our deck where the Hot tub is for now.

So, the hope is that there won't be power outages from falling trees on power lines. However, we own a gasoline powered generator so at least we won't lose any food and we will have lighting even if not heat except for a fireplace if the power goes out where we live on the Coast.

Just owning a working Generator can save you 500 to 1000 dollars in food every time there is a power outage for more than 24 hours where you live. However, you need to not run these things in your garage or  inside your house unless you want Carbon monoxide poisoning. Many people die every year along with their families from Carbon monoxide poisoning from Gasoline powered generators. So, be very careful in all ways using a generator.
