Avatar

The message of the Avatar Movies has always made sense to me about indigenous people trying to survive technology. However, it wasn't technology that killed off the Native Americans in the U.S. by 90% when the white people arrived starting around 1620 in the U.S. it was White men's diseases like smallpox, and black plague and things like the flu and others. The Native Americans had no immunity to any of these things and millions had died of these things over the years mostly because of cities and a lack of sanitation in cities and water born diseases and rats in grain and stuff like this in Europe.

So, 90% of the Native Americans (in all tribes) as soon as the white trappers arrived started to die. This is why the White people could live here because the tribes were devastated by European diseases. This is the true story of what actually happened to Native Americans in the U.S.

So, in some ways like that Avatar tells the story of indigenous people all over the planet as technology (guns, metal, armor, planes, then spaceships arrive.

Since in 1980 I studied the Native American Medicine Path with several Native American Medicine men especially from 1980 to 1983 and kept sweating with Charlie Thom until he passed away in the 2000s I could understand better maybe than most people how important the Avatar series actually is.

Cultures whether it be the Earth civilizations today or smaller groups or tribes need protection if possible from being overrun by superior technology or they are soon wiped out with those Tribes having no choice but to die or assimilate into the technology cultures.

This is not only true here on earth but on all planets where indigenous groups are of beings. I think this is the true lesson which is very poignant to me of why the Avatar series of movies is an important one.
