What Senator Mark Kelly and others have said is important more to the survival of military officers in this country more than anything else. Trump and Hegseth likely won't be executed or serve time for illegally killing people whereas military officers or enlisted men killing people illegally could cost them their lives, and their honor and or be put in jail for life.
Trump and Hegseth giving illegal orders to military officers and enlisted men destroys the rule of law in this nation and begins to further unravel our democracy from functioning at all on ANY level.
