The "I AM" Pageant 1953 to 1969

In 1953 I was 5 years old and the "I AM" pageant in Mt. Shasta at their Amphitheater has been there since at least around maybe 1950 sometime. Before this the LIfe of Christ was done in Different "I AM" Temples across the U.S. Different Sanctuaries or Temples would do different scenes of the Pageant. At some point they all got together at Mt. Shasta City park and did the whole pageant,

I was trying to nail down the exact date that they started doing this in the Mt. Shasta City park but likely in the late 1940s. Like I said my first memory was in 1953 when I lived in San Diego when I was 5 years old and then it was already on McCloud Avenue on Land the Saint Germain Foundation had bought and then members built the Amphitheater there. My father was an electrician who volunteered 6 weeks of his time and brought me with him then in 1953 in the Summer before the Pageant in 1953. Actually I think the AI got it wrong about the present location which is at the opposite end of Mt. Shasta than the Mt. Shasta City Park. So, though it started here it moved by at least 1953 when I was 5 to McCloud Blvd across from the School.

The reason I am writing about 1953 to 1969 is that I was raised in the Saint Germain Foundation from birth but I left in 1969 because I likely was too progressive a thinker for this church.

The "I AM" Pageant has been a long-standing tradition in Mt. Shasta, held annually in the summer at the G.W. Ballard Amphitheater (near City Park) since around 1950, usually the second weekend in August, though it was canceled in 2020 due to COVID-19 but continues to happen in other years, drawing hundreds for its elaborate religious-themed performances
.
Key Details:
  • Location: G.W. Ballard Amphitheater, across from the I AM Temple on McCloud Avenue.
  • Timing: Typically the second weekend of August.
  • History: Started in the 1950s and is a major event for the I AM students and community.
  • Content: Features large casts, detailed sets, music, and themes from the "I AM" spiritual movement.

To find exact dates for specific years, you'd look for announcements from the Saint Germain Foundation/I AM School.

  • end quotes:

So, around the time I was 5 to 10 years old I had a part in the "I AM pageant where I carried the bolts of cloth carried by the Merchant of Tyre and then we listen to John the Baptist (who was played by my father) which was interesting too.

when I was 12 years old in 1960 I played the part of the Boy Jesus. I remember one line I memorized then which was "They that know thy Name "I AM" will put their trust in thee".

This has to do with God saying to Moses: "I AM that I AM is my name". So, it's sort of a Secret that God's Name is I AM

So, it's very important not to say God's Name in Vain or with any negative connotation even if you are referring to yourself.

Because "God's NAME "I AM" is a thing of Great Power and shouldn't be uttered lightly.
