It's mostly about oil money. So, the U.S. isn't there to help regime change (not really at all). They are only there to grab the oil money from Venezuela and let the people of Venezuela fight it out for who actually governs there long term.
So, it looks like the only stuff guarded by the American Troops will be Venezuelan Oil which is the largest oil reserves on planet Earth yet found.
However, the fact that this affects Cuba might be distressing for Russia because they have propped up the Cuban Government since Castro and the Cuban Missile Crisis of 1962. So, the latest news is that Russia is beginning to send warships alongside of their oil Tankers to the area to take on American WArships if necessary.
I don't think Trump fully understands who he is dealing with with Putin at this point.
Because the Way Trump is dealing with all this is as a Capitalist whereas Putin is a True KGB Warrior with truly ominous training both physically and psychologically that Trump cannot match in reality.
So, the game Trump is playing is one dimensional (business and money only) and the game Putin is playing is "Extending the Russian Empire".
So, they are playing completely different games and people are going to die on both sides of this just like in the first Cold War but Trump could easily get us all killed because he is being too foolish and arrogant in dealing with someone like Putin who is ruthless and deadly whereas Trump is only foolish and Arrogant like a U.S. businessman.
Trump is taking a knife to a gunfight. He will lose because of this and millions might die because of Trump's foolishness on the world stage.
