If you don't have hope often healing cannot occur. So, in some ways you have to "pull yourself up by your own bootstraps" like they said in centuries past which reminds me of my grandfather who did not want to die in the hospital but instead to "Die with his Boots on". He was from Kansas and born in the late 1870 I believe and lived until 1970 when he drove his panel Truck (we call them vans now) off a cliff from a frozen wheel bearing near Elk City Idaho then.
Having hope and praying can help a lot. Being Grateful for each day of life can help a lot. Praying for your families can help a lot.
My wife bought a blanket that says which we leave in the Living room on a couch often for staying warm while watching TV sometimes: "The prayers your Grandmother made for you are still Working!"
I love this idea and so I continue to pray for members of my family too all over the world.
"The prayers your Grandfather made for you are still Working Too!"
By God's Grace
