Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office said the ceasefire in the Iran war does not include Lebanon, where Hezbollah militants are located and which Israel has invaded.

“Israel supports President Trump’s decision to suspend strikes against Iran for two weeks subject to Iran immediately opening the straits and stopping all attacks on the US, Israel and countries in the region,” the prime minister’s office said in a statement on X.

The office said it supports negotiations, but it added: “The two-weeks ceasefire does not include Lebanon.”

Israel has attacked what it said are Hezbollah targets in Lebanon, and it has invaded the southern part of the country over what it said are security concerns.

Hezbollah, a militant group backed by Iran, has periodically launched attacks against Israel, including retaliatory attacks after the U.S. and Israel launched strikes against Iran on Feb. 28, setting off the current war.
