This was good because it was nice to have a heater working because there isn't a wood stove here at the hotel to help with the heat. However, we did have a multiple wick camping candle (2 of them) and flashlights and of course our phones and my wife found a headlamp in her backpack. Interestingly enough because the sliding door to the terrace was closed AND the curtain was also closed the heat didn't dissipate out of the room that much.
But, it sure is good that the heater came back on because right now it is 31 degrees outside going according to the weather report to 28 degrees tonight. So, the 175,000 people (likely between here and including Redding, California are likely very happy to have their lights and electrical heating systems back on!
Hope no one got stuck in an elevator anywhere or was taking a shower when the lights went off suddenly or didn't have flashlights or candles or something. However, most people keep their cellphones (smartphones) close to them which usually have a type of light or flashlight built in.
