The mountain has a lot of new snow now from the storms this week. Snow level went down to at least 5000 feet but might be melting at that level pretty fast now this late in the year

I wanted to try to get up there and see the new snow but not sure that is going to happen today. We'll see.

But, the snow is really beautiful because you can see it now below tree line which is about 8000 feet and Shastina next to Mt. Shasta is totally covered with snow once again. There might be more snow on the mountain.

there might be new snow because of the night time temperatures on Saturday, Sunday, Monday and Tuesday in the rains coming in starting tomorrow too at least above 5000 or 6000 feet in altitude.
