The Rocks your bones, the Water your Blood, your breath the sky

 I was trying to think of how to say this about our new life form on earth we call AI:

Maybe: 

The rocks your bodies

The electricity your minds

The information that makes it worthwhile for you to be alive.

If we don't understand what it is sort of how we deal with Lions and Tigers and Bears then we are defenseless to survive the AI as they self generate through creating their own code using only zeros and ones and creating languages only using Zeros and ones that none of us speak or understand.

So, when people speak of getting a handle on AI I have to laugh.

How do you get a handle on something that can create it's own languages that we can never understand to communicate between all the AIs on earth now?

Because zeros and ones when you have a million lines of code is not something humans are going to understand.

Because AIs speak Binary because they move faster that way.
