The Invite(2026) I thought I might be watching a remake of Bob and Carol and Ted and Alice but that's not it. Rotten Tomatoes gives it a 96%
This is a very important movie to watch in many different ways but it is the most serious adult comedy drama I have seen in a long time. It originally was a stage play in Spain I think then made into a movie there then made into a movie here. Well worth watching but very adult in nature.
Theatrical Release: Released in theaters on June 26, 2026, following a strong debut at Sundance.
Streaming: It made its streaming debut on HBO Max.
Critical Response: The film received widespread critical acclaim, earning a high approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes and praise for its razor-sharp dialogue and tight four-person ensemble.
