Because the control of the Straight of Hormuz is like a nuclear weapon aimed directly at Trump and destroying his presidency brick by brick. From their point of view it is worth it even if Trump blows up all their bridges and power plants. Why? Because from their point of view anything that destroys Trump's chances as President serves their ends.
On top of this Iran is now being supplied with everything it needs to Destroy Trump and other Mideast nations economically and otherwise by Putin and Xi.
There isn't enough mention that this is now a proxy war between Russia and China against Trump and NATO.
I think much more should be said regarding this but with nuclear weapons potentially in play maybe it is better they do it this way.
However, I'm not sure what is going to happen in Ukraine.
But, Iran supported by both Russia and China makes more sense to me.
However, it is also true now that the EU just loaned Ukraine billions of dollars for the war effort now as well.
