The high fog came back in today on the northern california coast presently 58 degrees at 11 am

This seems a little cooler than normal but within the range of between about 55 and 70 we have been having all summer long so far. The heat inland keeps bringing in the fog off the ocean on the prevailing winds.

However, it's why we have forests here too like Monterey Pines and Redwoods and Bracken Ferns and Oak trees and Manzinita bushes too. So, the whole climate here in some ways depends upon the moisture and high fog off the ocean the whole year even though it is sunny a lot in the Fall and Spring and Winter.

It also prevents fires this fog and moisture and sometimes drizzle during the summers too.
