The Rain Beat Loudly upon the roof of our Condo in Hawaii:

And so I went outside to see the rain from the covered terrace overlooking the ocean and Bay. I was remembering last night when the Crescent moon shone brightly upon the water outside on the ocean leaving a trail of moonlight behind it for hours until it set. Then my wife saw a Green flare go off out to see so she reported it (even though why would you shoot a green flare into the air and not a red one if you were at sea?).

Anyway, tonight three of us went to a concert but I wasn't interested. Besides, tomorrow night we are going to go to a Luau and that is a lot of sitting and being entertained and eating and listening and having to sit in one place and one night of that is enough for me.

A good friend of ours on the mainland had brain surgery today so it was a relief to hear that they came through it okay even though there were a few complications which is sort of normal for any kind of brain surgery at all. The good news is they are going to be okay in the long run. Thank God!

So, there were a few teary eyes realizing that our friend was still going to be alive when we returned to the mainland which is good.

Carpe Diem! which means "Seize the Day!" which is what you have to do when you are over 60 or 70 years old because you don't really know how many days, weeks, months or years left.

Like my father in law said when he was alive: "Growing old ain't for sissies!" And he was right! So, There are no problems only opportunities as long as you are still alive!

By God's Grace
