Except it is more about magic and less about violence (even though the Witcher (Geralt) is very violent, he is violent in a magical way so he never dies and lives hundreds of years as a magical mutant called "A Witcher" in a time period similar to "Game of Thrones".
My wife has watched the whole first season twice now. And we found out yesterday that my adopted daughter and her husband in San Diego also have watched the Witcher twice also.
It's pretty interesting if you like "Game of Thrones" with a whole lot more magic thrown in this time. Of course it's different than GOT but we also hope to see more seasons of "THE WITCHER in the future because it is very well done but likely not the budget of The Game of Thrones especially the last few seasons with the really large production budget.
I think "The Witcher" was filmed in Eastern Europe where production costs are lower with a mostly English Cast with some Americans in it too.
To the best of my ability I write about my experience of the Universe Past, Present and Future
