To the best of my knowledge the Galactic Time Guard actually exists. To the best of my knowledge United Nations Time Guard exists. To the best of my knowledge U.S., Russian, British, French, German and Chinese and possibly Israeli Time Guards exist. And they all work pretty much together for a variety of reasons to prevent human extinction by any method known or unknown in the present or future.
Why?
Because otherwise the earth would have been nuked out of existence and stayed that way at least 5 or 10 times already since world war II.
For example, extreme time alterations occurred during the last week or two already. IF you are an intuitive like me you have or will see the signs of this.
