Out of Ice Cream?

So, we are in Mt. Shasta and found out there is a place in McCloud that rents Kayaks which is sort o new for this area. So, we went over to see Kayaks there and in the 1980s I owned 2 1/2 acres up on the mountain within about 10 or 15 miles from McCloud by the way so on our way back there is a local sort of like Foster Freeze place where you can get milkshakes and fries and a grilled cheese sandwich if you want. So, my wife got out and wanted to get in line to buy something but the line was too long. So, we decided to order ahead by phone going back the 20 miles or so to Mt. Shasta to mt. Shasta at Black Bear Diner and get a Blackberry shake with locally grown blackberries here.

Actually, I looked it up and it's 23 minutes or 14 miles to Mt. Shasta city park from McCloud, California over Highway 89.

Anyway, they were totally out of ice cream completely (because of the heat lately) (yesterday between 96 and 98 degree) today the high was only about 90 Fahrenheit.

So, we went to Berryvale ( a Health food store in Mt. Shasta) and my wife bought ice cream and friends are going to come over and share it with us later outside at the picnic table with enough social distancing.

I think the last 2 weeks for me have been the most peaceful and happy since I was in Kauai and Maui last October of 2019 with my wife and some friends from Mt. Shasta.

Places like McCloud and Mt. Shasta are likely having more business from tourists than they ever have had simply because U.S. Passports aren't any good right now in almost ANY 1st world countries.

You might get into 3rd world countries but that probably isn't safe for most people to even consider doing that. Also, if you are an American Trump has it set up that if he thinks you are sick he might not let you back into the country now so that's something to worry about too even if you have an American passport.

So, I think more and more people are getting 2nd passports from other countries if they are able to, especially from places like Greece or other EU countries at this point.

Many people have 2 passports for a variety of reasons. For example, if you are born in Russia and naturalize into being an American Citizen you CANNOT travel into Russia on your U.S. passport or you will be arrested. You have to get a Russian passport to go back to Russia to visit your relatives or you will be thrown in jail in Russia.

This is one of 100s of reasons why people have 2 passports from 2 different countries around the world.
