I was reading the articles on Darpa robots and thinking about the next Fukushima. It isn't a matter of "If" it is a matter of only "When" and "Where" at this point. Will it be another one in Japan, the U.S., Europe, Russia, China (wherever). We all know it is coming and it is unexpected from Earthquakes, bad weather of all kinds, human error in the instalation or just aging faciilities like a 50 year old car that often need maintanance with parts that are no longer made or are set so deep in now radioactive concrete that they cannot be repaired anymore safely by human beings.
So, I guess the real question now is "Will DARPA Robots be ready to jump into the breach anywhere on earth they are needed next in the next Fukushima meldown anywhere on Earth?" And the answer has to be "Maybe".
To the best of my ability I write about my experience of the Universe Past, Present and Future
