Halt and catch Fire: the reverse engineering of the IBM Clone

BEcause I live near Silicon Valley and have mostly since 1985 except for 5 to 8 years I never heard thsi story before. I heard the story of Texas Instruments but not this one before so I find it very interesting. So, I want to thank these people who did this that allowed me to buy in Silicon Valley a brand new IBM AT Clone and an epson computer for around $2500 in Silicon Valley in 1987 which was my first computer of the same basic design of the ones today. We've come a long way since then but I'm not sure the Internet itself would exist now without the reverse engineering of the IBM Clone that allowed people all over the world to build components for every evolving PC until now here in 2014.
This actually happened in Texas in 1983.
