reprint of:Glastonbury Tor from the Air: Isle of Avalon

I saw people were reading this today and if you ever wondered where the Isle of Avalon actually was, here it is. When King Henry the VIII of England was running out of money from wars he plundered Glastonbury Abbey which upset the Catholic Church because it was the biggest money maker in England for them before Henry VIII. So, this incident of plundering Glastonbury Abbey and draw and quartering the Abbot for actually doing nothing wrong, was where Henry VIII actually started sort of a war with the Catholic Church and England became mostly Protestant from that point on. So, if you were wondering what single event triggered this it was the plundering of Glastonbury by Henry when he was low on money and draw and quartering the Abbot for no real reason.

This incident is also likely why you never heard of Glastonbury as the burial place of Arthur and Guinevere beyond the legends.

I climbed to the top of the Tor in October 2011 with my family. It is an amazing view from the top of the Tor. Also, I discovered for the first time (since I was also here in 1999 in October) Glastonbury Abbey which is next to a large parking lot in the middle of the town. We went into the Abbey and found the burial place of King Arthur. At the time of King Henry VIII Glastonbury Abbey was the richest Catholic Abbey in all of England.

It was amazing to walk around the ruins of the large Abbey Estate and to see it preserved as a Historical Center there in Glastonbury. I visited the original Gravesite of King Arthur and Guinevere and my family enjoyed all aspects of Glastonbury greatly the day we spent there. So, if you like the story of King Arthur and Guinevere and Merlin you might like visiting here one day.

The other really amazing thing about this place is it reminds me of the consciousness of Saint Germain a lot and likely the clarity of people like Francis Bacon who was likely who Saint Germain was before he became Saint Germain. You also feel this incredible mental and spiritual clarity within about 30 miles of this place if you are an intuitive as well. Like Mt. Shasta this is a very very special place on earth.

There are also legends about this place being the resting place of  "The Holy Grail" that Joseph of Arimathea and Mary Magdelene brought from the holy land also.
