A better question might be: "How do we stop Putin from taking over all of Europe again if we don't?"
Given the logic of not arming Ukraine where does Russia stop lying to the world about what it is doing?
So, arming Ukraine might be the only choice to keep Europe intact as western democracies and not instead becoming a part of a Russian totalitarian state with Putin as it's leader sort of like Hitler was over France and Italy, Poland and other countries during World War II and before.
