So, it is very likely that ISIS is taking lessons from the success that Irgun had from 1931 to 1948 and then morphing into the Likud party in Israel today. So, ISIS likely is trying to duplicate this success into creating a Sunni Caliphate covering most of the Middle East including Israel. Will they succeed?
Very very unlikely because they have been so horrific in their deeds that the whole world has turned against them. It is like watching stuff we read about in World History back in the 10th to 14th centuries once again with Vlad the Impaler impaling hundreds and possibly thousands of Muslims who were alive on poles. It pretty unsettling for civilized people to have to contemplate this happening today here in today's earth and not 1000 years ago.
