40 meter Flying Spaghetti monsters have been reported?

Dr Jones' colleague Philip Pugh identified the creature, which closely resembles an upturned bowl of spaghetti, as a specimen of Bathyphysa conifera.
Specimens up to 40 metres long have been found, making them the world's longest animals, according to a New Scientist report.

I was reading that this creature is a relative of both a Polyp from Coral as well as a Jellyfish. But, imagine something that lives about 4500 feet deep in the ocean which is why most of us have never seen this type of creature ever before.
