Critical Thinking And religions

There are people who believe fully in everything written in any religious text. Obviously, these people have not been taught "Critical Thinking". Then there are people who join religions only because it helps their business and social life and give lip service to believing in one religion or another because it only helps them socially and financially through contacts.

But, most uneducated people are the same kind of people driven into bankruptcy across the U.S. during the Great Recession Worldwide who never read the fine print (so to speak) in their adjustable rate loans. In other words they are harmed by the religions they are a part of financially, emotionally and physically in the same ways that many people are harmed by their families growing up around the world.

So, my premise is the foundation of all religions (the gullible) will be lessened as the world becomes more educated and are actually able to "Think" their way out of a paper bag.

So, from this point of view, fundamental religions of all kinds tend to lead to wars and harm to people worldwide, whereas educating people enough to actually be able to analyze what is going on inside them and around them will liberate them as free thinkers.

So, worldwide this is what I think is actually happening now as people become more educated in developed and developing nations where people create and use their own philosophies and religions from the existing philosophies and existing religions they find all over the earth that works for them.

Fundamental religions lead to war as more and more people become so traumatized from bad things in their lives that they start killing people in defense of their PTSD in their lives. You see this manifest now in the Sectarian violence throughout the Middle East.

So, at a certain point people who don't have PTSD have to defend themselves from the people so off from being traumatized that do and this just spins more and more out of control as time goes on. This is the problem with ALL fundamentalist points of view whether they are religious, atheistic (communism) or scientific fundamentalism. All these intractable points of view lead to war and torture of individuals who don't share this belief system. And when you add overpopulation and lack of water, food and jobs to this mix you have what has been happening in the middle East for about 5 years now with no letup in sight.
