Dry lightning is a real problem for California anywhere right now, as if we didn't already have too many fires. So far, where I live on the ocean we haven't had to deal with smoke yet because the fires have all been blowing a different direction (usually inland away from us) so far. The lightning is beautiful at night like now but with forests all around and pretty dry and hills dried out with flowers and dried grasses and bushes this could be a problem for the whole SF Bay area in either fires or smoke blowing around.
